90番ミシン糸でさざなみソックスを編みました。

90番ミシン糸は薄地用で、普通のミシン糸よりもさらに細いものです。かぎ針は0.35mm（レース針25号）を使用しました。

作り方

基本的には人間用のさざなみソックスと同じです。作り目が30目、パート1が4往復（8段）、パート2も4往復、かかととつま先の風車ステッチは同じ目数で20目に往復編みを3目→2目×5回。

さざなみソックス日本語パターン

「さざなみステッチ」と「風車ステッチ」を使い、棒針で編んだように伸縮性のある靴下をかぎ針で編みます。24.5cmの靴下を基本にしていますが、編みながらサイズは自由に調節できるようになっています。

2mm厚のバルサ材でなんちゃってソックブロッカーも作りました。人形用につかっても良し、ミニチュアとして飾るのもよし。1/12スケールのドールハウスに置いても違和感がないと思います。

人間用のさざなみソックスは作り目90目で始め、風車ステッチもかかとで6目から始まります。1/12といいつつ実際に編む目の数は3分の1くらいですね。

ちなみにこれだけ小さいと最後に作り目を拾うのがけっこう大変です。対策としては、1段目を編むときに鎖の向こう半目だけ拾うようにするといいと思います。裏山を拾わないでおく感じです。そうすると作り目に残った穴がけっこう大きくなるので、あとから見つけやすいかなと思います。逆に人間用で同じことをやるとつなぎ目の穴が大きくなってちょっと見栄えが悪いかもしれません。

I made 1:12 scale socks with #90 sewing machine thread: the one for thin fabric.

I made these socks just about the right size for Picconeemo S’s feet (with a little room in the heel). The photo together shows the sewing machine thread I used.

#90 sewing thread is for thin fabrics and is even finer than regular sewing thread. The crochet hook used is 0.35mm (No. 25).

How to make

Basically, it is the same as the socks for humans. The foundation chs count 30 + 2. You work 8 rows for Part 1 and the same for Part 2.

Pinwheel stitch for heels and toes start with 20 sc and then you work 4 chs, {3 sc BLO, 2 sc BLO and 3 sc} 5 times.

I also made a fake sock blocker out of 2mm thick balsa wood. You can use it for dolls or display it as a miniature, and it will not look out of place in a 1/12 scale dollhouse.

The socks for humans start with 90 stitches, and the pinwheel stitch starts with 6 stitches at the heel. 1/12 scale socks have only 1/3 of the number of stitches indeed.

Incidentally, it is quite difficult to hook foundation chs at the last when the size of the sock is so small. As a countermeasure, it would be better to hook back loop only (leave back bumps) when working R1. If you do this, the hole left in the Row1 will be a bit large, so I think it will be easier to find it later. (On the other hand, if you do the same thing for humans, the holes at the joints will be larger and may not look good.)
